Superintendent

From the Superintendent's Desk

Mr. Anderson

Greetings Falcon Families!

I hope this letter finds you all healthy and well! As we are preparing for the upcoming school year, I just wanted to formally introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District. My name is Travis Anderson and I have had the privilege of working in the N-O-W School District for the past eight years as a 6th grade teacher (3 years) and Instructional Coach (4 years), as well as coaching basketball and softball at all levels for the past seven years.  I live near Wilton with my wife and three children and we feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area surrounded by wonderful people. We truly love being Falcons! I am originally from Westby, WI and graduated from Westby Area High School (1999). I graduated from Viterbo University (2003) where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education PreK-6th Grade, received a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Marian University (2009), and completed my Administrative licensure through EduCATE-WI (2018). Prior to working at N-O-W, I began my career as an elementary school teacher in the Necedah School District where I taught Kindergarten before moving to the Sparta School District. While in Sparta,  I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade for many years before becoming a Falcon in 2012.  I personally enjoy outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, waterskiing, and just having fun with my family….as well as being an avid Wisconsin sports fan!  There is truly no place I would rather be than in Falcon country! I look forward to serving the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District and our community in a leadership capacity and helping provide a great education to all our students!

I am extremely excited for the upcoming school year and I know our entire staff is as well!  There are MANY challenges ahead of all of us with the COVID-19 pandemic still in full-swing, but I know we as a community and school can overcome any challenge presented to us. We have TONS of great things going on at N-O-W beginning this fall and we are eager to share these things with you! To name a few, we will be 1:1 student/technology device for all students grades PreK-12th grade beginning this fall, our school has developed a virtual school within our school, known as Falcons Virtual Academy, incorporated some new course offerings in the HS, updated many areas of our curriculum , and continue to update our school facilities that will make N-O-W schools simply the place to be!  It’s truly an exciting time to be Falcons even during a health-pandemic!

As we return to school, the N-O-W staff and I will work to ensure our school will do everything possible to provide a great education for your children while ensuring their health and safety is priority #1.  This school year may be like no other school year in history, but I know it will be great!  I wish you and your families the best of health and we can’t wait to see all of our students this coming year!

Stay Healthy and Well,

Travis Anderson
