  • Sophomores & Juniors:  If you are interested in being part of the Information Technology, EMT, Automotive, or Fire Fighter/EMR Academies starting next fall, please see Mrs. Nemec for more information. These will require a Start College Now Application to be completed, which needs to be turned in to Mrs. Nemec by 3:45 on March 1st, 2021. This is a great way to earn college credit and gain certification in an area of interest to you.
  • Sophomores & Juniors:  Start College Now and Early College Credit Program Applications will be available outside of the Counseling Office starting Monday, February 8th. These applications are for students that wish to take college courses during the fall semester of 2021. Completed applications must be returned to Mrs. Nemec by 3:45 on Monday, March 1st, 2021. This is a great opportunity for students to earn high school and college credit.
  • If you are interested in going into any branch of the military after high school, you will be required to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). It is an aptitude test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. The higher the score on this test, the better military jobs you qualify for. There is also a Career Exploration Program (CEP) portion that will help you figure out what kind of careers in general are suited for you. Mrs. Nemec is trying to see how many students would be interested in taking the test this spring if I were to get a representative to come out to out school. Please fill out the Google Form sent to your school email if you are interested.
  • Hayley Hanson, Brookwood's Career Coach from Western Technical College, holds Zoom meetings every 3rd Wednesday of the month. If you are interested in meeting with her to talk about your Start College Now courses or Western Technical Colleges programs, please let Mrs. Nemec know and she will get you signed up for an appointment.

Athletes who are participating in these sports need to check with Mr. Clinton to make sure all of their paperwork is complete and that they’re eligible to participate.

Brookwood is expected to honor spectator rules at road events, and we will.  PARENTS / FANS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO GO TO THESE CONTESTS IF THEY DO NOT HAVE TICKETS!

Reminder About Spectator rules

All winter athletes have received a “Spectator Rules Acknowledgement Form” that must be signed by parents or guardians and returned to the athletics office.  Without this form, an athlete cannot designate spectators.  Parents: please sign and have your son / daughter return this form immediately!!!!

For the current Volleyball season, we will be utilizing a ticket system.  Each player will receive FOUR tickets that they will then distribute to the spectators of their choice. The tickets will be distributed for contests 1 – 2 days in advance.

Spectators using the tickets must:

  • PRINT FULL NAME on the back of the ticket
  • Present the ticket for admission at the door when you attend

Most schools will have the same rules, and we will let athletes know of changes in advance.
