The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District would love to consider an application for your child to attend through open enrollment. Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School and Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School are both under one roof located in the country between Ontario and Wilton on State Highway 131. Below is a list of positive attributes of the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District:

  • The administration and staff prioritizes the establishment of a positive environment within the
    school building. An enjoyable place to work turns into an enjoyable place for students to learn.
  • The people employed at Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton make the difference. Both NOW Elementary
    and Brookwood Jr.& Sr. High School have implemented the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (P.B.I.S.) program to continually focus on maintaining the positive working and learning environment at Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton.
  • The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District continues to offer students the use of instructional
    technology at all grade levels. The school district has continued to increase the numbers of PC’s as well as portable technologies for student use throughout the school building. New interactive technologies are also being acquired for classroom use.
  • Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School has strong Title I Reading and Math programs.
  • 4 Year Old Kindergarten program that meets twice a week for full days.
  • The school district has implemented Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies school wide.
  • NOW Elementary averages small class sizes, with less than twenty students per classroom in Grades K5 through 6.
  • Smaller class sizes are a priority in Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School as well. A heavy majority of the classes have less than 20 students in the classroom.
  • Outside of the base academic courses offered at the Jr. & Sr. High school, the school district offers full-time programs in Computer and Business Education, Agriculture, Family and Consumer Education, and Woods and Metals Shop (Tech. Ed.).
  • The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District offers one of the best English Language Learner
    instruction and support for Spanish speaking students in the area.
  • The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District offers a wide array of special education services for students with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21.
  • Strong fiscal leadership by the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Board of Education has led to financial
    stability and the ability to offer a high level of quality instructional programming at smaller
    classroom numbers than most school districts.
  • Modern and safe school bus fleet.
  • The Food Service Department offers all elementary aged students a free breakfast daily. Breakfast is also offered to Jr. & Sr. High School students.
  • Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School offers the following co-curricular opportunities for students:
    Athletics: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Wrestling, Boys and Girls Basketball, Track and Field, Softball, Baseball, Special Olympics, Cheerleading.
    Academic: FFA, FCCLA, Student Council, Hispanic Dance Troupe, School Play, Forensics, Letterclub, National Honor Society, and Safety Patrol.
